Fabula One

Fabula One is a screenwriting app that runs in your browser. This is its
companion for Android — the work you left at the desk, in your pocket.

YOUR SCREENPLAYS, WHEREVER YOU ARE

Open any screenplay in your account and read it laid out the way it will
print. The page numbers on the phone are the page numbers of the PDF you
send out, because both are produced by the same pagination — page 43 here
is page 43 there. Search the script when you half remember a line and want
to find where it lives.

EVERYTHING AROUND THE SCRIPT, TOO

- Story — your story line and treatment, plus the cast and every setting
the script visits.
- Structure — the template you are writing against, the synopsis of each
element, the beat sheet, and a ruler showing where your acts actually
fall against where the structure said they would.
- Outline — every scene in order. Tap one and the script opens there.
- Script — the pages themselves, with search.

NOTES ON DRAFTS YOU ARE SENT

When another writer sends you a draft to read, it appears under Peer
Projects. Read it, write notes as you go, and send them when you are
ready. A note stays yours until you send it — nobody sees a half-formed
thought.

WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOES NOT DO

This is a reading and reviewing app, not an editor. It cannot change a
screenplay. Writing happens at the desk, in the browser, where there is
room to work — and knowing the phone cannot alter a draft is worth more
than being able to fix a typo on a bus.

NOTHING KEPT ON THE PHONE

Your screenplays are not stored on the device. They are read from your
account when a screen needs them and are gone when the app closes. One
thing is kept: proof that you are signed in, held in the Android
Keystore. A phone is easier to lose than a laptop, and the less of your
unfinished work is sitting on it, the less a lost phone costs you.

NO ADS, NO TRACKING

No advertising, no advertising ID, no analytics, no usage counting, no
crash reporting, and no third-party SDK that collects anything. The app
talks to one server, your account, and nowhere else.

Free to create, and free to use while Fabula One is in beta. Sign in with
your email address and a six-digit code that arrives by email. There is no
password, so there is none to forget and none to steal.
