Deep Ocean

Deep Ocean is a match-3 puzzle game set in an underwater expedition. Players dive into the ocean and clear the board by swapping adjacent tiles to form lines of three or more. The theme is deep-sea exploration: tiles show corals, shells, pearls, crystals, amphoras, doubloons, and other underwater treasures. The goal is to complete 15 levels by reaching score targets, collecting specific items, and sometimes making large matches of five or more. The game has a calm, atmospheric feel with a realistic underwater look and no distracting animations beyond a smooth swap and a simple tile highlight.

The core loop is straightforward: tap a tile to select it, then tap an adjacent tile to swap. If the swap creates at least one match of three or more in a row or column, the matched tiles disappear, new tiles fall from the top, and the player scores points. If the swap does not create a match, the two tiles swap back. The board is always playable: after each move the game checks that at least two possible moves remain; if not, the board is reshuffled so the player is never stuck. Matches of four or five tiles award more points and help with levels that require a “big match.”

Levels are unlocked one by one and get harder over time. Early levels ask for a modest score with plenty of moves; later levels limit moves and add goals like collecting a set number of corals or pearls, or making at least one match of five. Finishing a level shows a victory screen with the level number, final score, moves used, and a one-to-three star rating. If the player runs out of moves before meeting the goal, a failure screen offers retry or return to level select. There are no timers or extra mechanics—just clear objectives and a focus on matching.

The app includes a welcome screen for first-time players, a home screen with Play, Level Select, Achievements, and Settings, and over twenty achievements (e.g. first match, long matches, completing levels, collecting certain tiles). Progress, stars, scores, and achievements are saved locally. Settings let players turn sound on or off, switch between themes (Deep Blue, Coral Reef, Midnight Ocean), and optionally reset all progress. The interface is simple and readable, with no unnecessary animations: only tile selection highlight and a short swap animation.
