TraffickCam is a powerful Chrome extension that empowers travelers to combat sex trafficking by uploading photos of hotel rooms they've stayed in. Traffickers often post images of victims in hotel rooms as part of illegal advertisements. These images serve as crucial evidence for investigators but identifying the exact location requires a comprehensive database.
By contributing your hotel room photos, you help build a searchable database that investigators can use to match and locate where traffickers have taken pictures. This crowdsourced effort aids law enforcement in tracking, finding, and prosecuting perpetrators, making your simple photo uploads a vital part of the fight against human trafficking.
The TraffickCam app has a valuable mission to help combat human trafficking by collecting hotel room photos. However, multiple users report that the latest version is difficult to use, with frequent crashes and a confusing workflow. The inability to upload photos taken outside the app or without wifi frustrates many contributors. Users desire clearer instructions, background information, and more flexible upload options. While the app's purpose is widely appreciated, its technical and usability issues hinder the user experience and may reduce ongoing participation.

The app lacks clear instructions, background information, privacy policy, and user interface elements such as a home screen and progress indicators.
