Proteus is a fast, no-friction protein tracker. Log what you eat in a tap, watch
your daily goal fill up, and check your progress right from your home screen —
with no accounts, no sign-ups, and no cloud.

Deliberately simple. Just protein (and calories), done well.

WHAT YOU GET

• One-tap logging — save your regular foods as quick-add tiles and log them
instantly. No searching the same items every day.

• Custom foods with real nutrition — search any food and Proteus scales protein
and calories to the weight you enter. Answers come offline first, from a USDA
FoodData Central database bundled inside the app, going online only for the
long tail.

• No ads, if you want — a one-time "Remove ads" purchase turns them off for good.

• A home-screen widget — see today's protein vs. your goal at a glance, in four
sizes, matching your light or dark theme. Tap to open the app.

• Daily goal + progress — set your protein target and watch the bar fill. See
"reached" when you hit it, and how much you have to go when you don't.

• Calories too — tracked alongside protein for every entry.

• Day history — swipe back through previous days to review what you logged.

• Light & dark themes — follows your system, or force either one.

• Backup & restore — export all your data to a file and import it back any time.

YOUR FOOD DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

No accounts, no cloud, no server. Your food log, goals, presets, and theme are
stored on your device — there is nowhere for us to send them, and we use no
analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Proteus is free, supported by ads from Google AdMob. To show them, Google
receives your device's advertising ID and technical details — never your food
log, which the ad SDK cannot reach. In regions that require it you'll be asked
for consent first, and you can choose non-personalised ads or change your answer
any time under Privacy options. A one-time "Remove ads" purchase removes ads
entirely.

Food lookups stay minimal: most are answered offline from the bundled database.
Anything else sends only the food name — to CalorieNinjas or Open Food Facts for
nutrition values, or Iconify for an icon — and it is never stored or linked to
you. Proteus asks for no sensitive permissions at all — no location, no camera,
no microphone, no contacts, no access to your files.
