30 plants a week: Plant Points

Gut health, fiber & Nutrition Tracker

Features & Capabilities

Plant Points helps you to make sure you have 30 different plants in a week. Studies have shown that people who eat 30 different plants per week are more likely to have good bacteria in their gut. Making sure you eat enough can be a challenge, can you remember what you had for breakfast last Tuesday? Plant Points can take the hassle out of remembering what you have eaten and ensuring a varied diet.

With Plant Points you can easily keep track of your weekly plants. You can log any plant you eat and if it’s a full portion, a tea or seasoning. You then get a score for the days points and your score for the week. Plant Points also keeps track of your streak, quickly see how long you have managed to maintain eating enough plants for a healthy gut.

How it works:
- Log every plant you eat during the day
- You get a point for each unique plant you have eaten
- 1/4 point for a seasoning or tea
- Goal is to have 30 points or more for the week

Plant Points will even give you helpful suggestions of plants you have not even or other ways to meet your goals.

Regularly eat meals that have the same collection of plants? You can create meals in the app that you can quickly add all the plants at once. No need to add 5+ plants individually each time you have a bolognese sauce.

Is it hard to remember to make a note of things? With Plant Points you can set helpful reminders to add your plants after every meal.

Plant Points has an achievement system to help keep you motivated on your health journey.

Modern app design. Choose from light mode or dark mode. You can even change the app colour (if green isn’t your favourite).

I really like the simplicity of this app and it's layout. One thing I think could help improve it would include what a "portion" is.

Just what I've been looking for. Only thing that I find that could make it better is that the fruit and vegetable products don't appear to be extensive, such as I couldn't find lettuce or cucumber which are both common salad foods, also it is quite vague as to what constitutes a portion size. Edit: apologies I couldn't find the feature to add your own, does make it better. So much conflicting information regarding healthy diets, eating a large range of fruit and vegetables makes a lot sense.
