User Reviews

Users appreciate the device's cooling hardware and some app features like temperature graphs and color control. However, the app suffers from pervasive connectivity issues, especially pairing failures on Android and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi limitations. Frequent app crashes, firmware update problems, and poor support for newer device models were widely reported. The user interface and instructions are confusing, contributing to user frustration. While some users eventually achieve successful connections by following instructions carefully, overall the app's software reliability and compatibility issues significantly hinder the smart features of the device.
Pros
  • The app provides useful features such as graphs of temperature input and output, enhancing user experience.
  • Despite initial setup difficulties, the app works fine once connected, offering control over device functions like color settings.
  • The device's cooling functionality is praised as effective and appreciated by users.
  • Some users experienced successful pairing and smooth operation after reinstalling the app or through careful adherence to setup instructions.
Cons
  • The app frequently fails to connect or pair with the device, especially on Android, leading to repeated attempts and frustration.
  • Limited Wi-Fi support (only 2.4GHz) causes connectivity issues, and the app often fails with 5GHz networks.
  • The app crashes widely, including during setup or when pairing the device, and freezes often.
  • Firmware updates and app compatibility with device models are problematic, with users reporting that the app doesn't support newer models or fails to update firmware.
  • User interface issues include unresponsive device buttons, confusing or outdated instructions, and excessive prompts such as rating requests.

Can we can an API so I can make my own app? sceptical at first why I needed an iot swamp cooler, but having the graphs of temp input and output was cool. As an engineer, I would love to have the RH humidity graphed as well I think that's the most interesting part. Overall works good my housemate with new android couldn't use the ap As a another uses pointed out, i had to modify my router channels to get it to recognise my wifi, that was frustrating, but no more than smart bulbs, also frustrati

The only way to remotely interact with my device is with this app. I have barely ever seen such a malfunctioning app. Won't find the device, then can't login anymore, then tried to create another account. Each time: spinning wheel forever. Would be clever to stop thinking connecting device back to your infrastructure is clever for everyone and allow people to use their device through their own wifi only??!
