Forest Files is the essential app to any forester. With it collect data for forest inventories of both native and planted forests is done much more quickly and reliably.

With a simple and intuitive interface, you will not lose another second performing manual and repetitive work.


Forest Files now has support from the Forestry Panel, the biggest news portal in the forest sector in Brazil. With the latest update to the app, you can access the latest industry news directly from the home screen, simply click on the Forestry Panel icon in the upper right corner.



- Easy Collection
You never have to worry about chips field. With Forest Files collection is quick and automated way. You can register data as the common name, scientific name, DAP, CAP, shaft height and total height of each individual. To facilitate data entry, when you start typing a popular or scientific name, the system provides suggestions of species listed in the database.

- Database
Forest Files has a database of over 600 plant species. Moreover, whenever a new kind of data are collected, they are quickly stored in the database.
That way you never have to enter information for species already collected previously.

- Export the data into a ringtone
All data collected through Forest Files can be exported with a simple touch of the screen. No need to enter numerous records field.
When you connect your device to a computer, the data can be viewed using software such as Microsoft Excel, allowing you to deepen their analysis.

- Real-time statistics
Forest Files calculates in real time the sampling error along the collection.
You can also select the tolerable sampling error for your project and thereby Forest Files will estimate the number of installments remaining to be sampled. Forest Files also allows you to view the graph of species x area during collection.
All these tools eliminate any uncertainty about the representativeness of the data collected.

- Photos
Forest Files allows you to keep visual records of each registered individual. Thus, species not identified in the field can easily be recognized later.
When exporting your project, pictures taken in each plot are organized into separate folders, facilitating further analysis.

- GPS
To start collecting data from a plot, Forest Files uses the GPS on your phone or tablet and store the coordinates of the location. With just one touch on the screen, its latitude and longitude are determined and you may use this data for further analysis.

The determination of the coordinates is only possible if your device has GPS.

You can download Forest Files and use it for free for a period of 30 days. After this period, you will be asked to purchase a license with monthly cost of U.S. $ 6.90. This license will only be charged if at the end of the trial period, you decide to purchase it.
