SeatScout helps teachers capture quick, desk-level observations throughout the school day without breaking their flow.
The Today tab opens to a clear dashboard showing how many Desk Notes you’ve logged and how many require high attention, alongside a compact list of your five most recent notes.
A prominent quick-capture strip at the top lets you jump directly into the Add form, so you can record a note the moment you notice something.
The Add form includes a seat label field, a category picker for Behavior, Academic, or Routine, a description area, and an attention level selector from Low to High.
Over in the Notes tab, every Desk Note appears as a pinned paper slip showing the seat label, a colored type badge, and a snippet of your description, all organized chronologically.
You can search the full list by seat label or note type, making it easy to find patterns across a particular desk or category.
The Seats tab presents a classroom seat grid where each cell lights up with a pushpin dot colored by the attention level of the most recent note for that seat today.
The whole interface uses a warm chalkboard-green backdrop with chalk-yellow text, giving it a familiar classroom feel that is both calming and focused.
Desk Note cards are styled like white paper slips with a sketched pin in the corner, complemented by a small attention-level dot so you instantly recognize urgency.
Everything you write stays on your device because SeatScout stores all notes locally, so no account is needed and your classroom data remains private.

By the end of the day, a glance at the Today counters and the seat grid shows exactly which desks or students may need extra support or recognition.
