EMM Companion

The mambo EMM companion app is installed on all managed mambo EMM devices at time of enrolment.

This is an enterprise-specific application and has no function on unmanaged devices.

The companion offers additional value-add features for mambo EMM customers, including:

- Advanced Kiosk
- Remote Control
- Device metadata
- Heartbeat and location functionality

And more.

** ACCESSIBILITY DISCLOSURE
The EMM companion app uses the accessibility feature to enable remote input for our remote control solution. When enabled, administrators are able to view and manage Android devices from the mambo EMM console after a remote control request is approved on the device.

mambo EMM does not collect or store any data associated with the accessibility service, and does not leverage accessibility for any actions not explicitly undertaken by an administrator (there are no robots here).

If accessibility is not granted, as it's an optional permission, administrators will be able to view, but not control, Android devices.

LOCATION PERMISSION DISCLOSURE**
mambo EMM collects location of devices based on the settings an administrator sets for their managed device estate. This information is used for lost/found mode, geofencing, and policy-related actions. Location information is not kept for more than 7 days.
