Touch and See: Baby Sensory

Touch and See is a baby's first digital playground. Nothing to win, nothing to lose, and no way to get it wrong: every touch of the screen makes something happen.

That is the whole idea. A very young child discovers that a gesture produces an effect, and repeats it, and starts to aim.

WHAT IS INSIDE

Drawing. Pick a stamp, either the bear, the flower, the truck or the sparkles, then drag a finger across the screen to scatter it. The pencil draws a free line instead.

Animal rain. Animals fall gently from the top of the screen.

Bubbles. Coloured bubbles rise from the bottom and drift up.

Colours. The background fades to a new pastel shade.

Hide-and-seek. An animal hides somewhere on the screen and has to be found before it disappears.

Quiz. Three animals appear and the child looks for the right one. A wrong answer invites another try and never punishes.

Wipe. One press clears the screen.

MADE FOR SMALL HANDS

Everything reacts the moment the finger lands, never when it lifts. A toddler lifts their finger slowly and far from where they aimed, so waiting for the release would make the game feel broken to them. The touch zones are also much wider than they look, so a hand that misses by a centimetre still succeeds.

There is no menu, no score, no timer and no level to unlock. A child cannot get lost or stuck, and cannot leave the game by accident.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

The app carries no advertising, no in-app purchase, no account and no data collection.

That is a property of the software rather than a promise about it. The app declares no Android permission at all, not even internet access, so it cannot send anything anywhere. It behaves exactly the same in aeroplane mode.

Touch and See is available in English and in French, and follows the language of the phone.
