Tend the Night: Merge Garden

It is three in the morning. The house is asleep. You are not.

Tend the Night is a nocturnal garden game built for exactly those hours: one hand, quiet by default, no white light in your eyes. You plant seeds of light, merge them, and a garden takes shape beneath the moon: yours, the one you let grow night after night. Then it starts to play.

ONE HAND, ONE THUMB
Everything is played with a thumb. Plant, drag, merge. Nothing needs two hands, nothing needs your full attention. You can put the phone down mid-gesture and pick it up ten minutes later.

MADE FOR THE DARK
No blinding white, no flashes, no fanfare. A night sky, deep hues, soft glows. Sound stays off unless you turn it on, and when you do, nothing raises its voice: round, soft timbres, quiet enough not to wake anyone next to you.

A GARDEN THAT IS YOURS
Every merge raises a plant one level, from the first sprout to celestial blooms. The plants you place really do appear in your garden, exactly where you put them. Rearrange them, expand the plot, unlock new ones.

YOUR GARDEN IS A SCORE
Every plant is a note. Its level sets the pitch, its column decides when it sounds, and the world it grows in gives it its material. Move a plant and the melody moves with it. You never have to read music: you arrange your garden the way you like it, and it ends up playing something nobody else has. The note at the top of the screen plays it back.

SHOW IT, IF YOU WANT TO
Your garden exports as a video, with its music, its fireflies and its northern lights. It is the only thing in the game that ever leaves your phone, and only on the day you feel like it.

IT GROWS WITHOUT YOU
Dew gathers while you sleep. Come back tomorrow and you will have something to plant. No urgency, no lives to refill, no guilt-tripping countdown.

BEGIN AGAIN, BETTER
When your garden reaches maturity, Rebirth returns it to the night and leaves you Glow: a currency that makes every garden after it more generous than the last.
