Meet Alvand – Learn to Read and Write in Persian, the Fun Way!

Hi, I'm Alvand! I was born and raised in Canada, but I’ve always felt a deep love for my Iranian roots—especially when it comes to speaking Farsi. I love listening to my parents read me Persian stories and poems. But for a long time, I couldn’t read or write in Farsi myself… and that made me a little sad.

So my dad had an idea—why not build an app to help me learn? And that’s how the Alvand App was born!

With the Alvand App, you’ll learn how to read and write the Persian words you already know and use every day. It’s perfect for kids who go to Persian school on weekends, but even if you don’t, you can still learn through fun games and engaging activities.

Lots of kids like me can speak Persian at home—but reading and writing can be tricky when you grow up outside Iran. That’s why we created this app: to help every kid like me fall in love with the Persian language and unlock the magical stories of Iran’s greatest literary treasures, like the Shahnameh, the most valuable book in the world.
