Elavon Biometric Authenticator

The Elavon Biometric Authenticator is a mobile app designed for Elavon commercial card customers to securely and conveniently authenticate high-risk e-commerce transactions using device biometrics. It complies with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements by verifying the genuine cardholder before approving online payments, enhancing security beyond traditional OTP tokens.

Cardholders register their Elavon corporate cards within the app. During higher-risk online purchases, users receive push notifications prompting them to approve or decline transactions via biometric login. The app securely manages transaction data by encrypting it on internal servers without storing any sensitive information or transaction history on the device, ensuring privacy and protecting user data throughout the authentication process.
