PlainSnap

PlainSnap is a camera app that allows you to take photos and check for any changes made after capture.

From everyday photos to the condition of second-hand items, spaces before moving in, and completed projects—use PlainSnap to save photos for later comparison.

Save Photos Just as They Were Captured
Verification information is embedded in photos taken in the app and saved to your device's photo library.

Check Originals on the Web
You can verify the authenticity of a photo by selecting it on plainsnap.com. The recipient of the photo can also verify it without logging in.

Compare Changes
For photos where changes have been detected, you can view the comparison results and the altered areas as blocks.

Photo Processing Guide
The original photo files are not uploaded to the server. To verify the capture, the server stores the reduced brightness and contour information extracted from the photo, as well as the time of capture, size, hash, and identification code. The reduced information is grayscale visual data that reveals the shape of the photo. Anyone who knows the verification code can view the comparison information without logging in.

Verification checks the authenticity of the file and visual differences based on PlainSnap's capture information. Differences may occur during the saving or rotation process, and the accuracy of the photos or their legal probative value are not guaranteed.
