Blade of Joseon

One tap. One draw of the blade. Cut your way from the living world, across the river of the dead, to the court of heaven itself.

Blade of Joseon is a one-tap sword-drawing (iai) timing action game set in old Korea. Tap left to cut left, tap right to cut right — that is all, and that is everything. Simple controls hide duels of rhythm, memory and nerve against monsters drawn straight out of minhwa, Korea's charming folk paintings, backed by a gugak-fusion soundtrack.

Forget samurai. This is the Joseon dynasty — a swordsman in a black gat hat, facing the yokai of Korean folklore.

◆ A JOURNEY ACROSS THREE REALMS — 20 STAGES
· The Living World (10): bamboo groves, snowfields, a volcano, a cloud palace — and a duel with the Azure Dragon
· The Underworld (5): the River of Three Crossings, the Boiling Hell, the Frozen Hell, the Karma Mirror, Mount Sumeru
· The Heavens (5): a lantern-lit celestial market, the Magpie Bridge, the Thundercloud Palace, the Hall of the Ten Kings — and a true ending at the Jade Emperor's golden court

◆ 20 BOSSES, 20 DIFFERENT DUELS
An iron-shield general, a pouncing white tiger, a nine-tailed fox running a shell game, a dragon storming the sky — then a Ferryman who duels in rowing beats, an Ox-Head warden whose true charge is revealed only by rising dust, an Ice Maiden whose curse reverses your left and right, King Yeomna who reads out the very monsters YOU slew this run as your sins, and finally the Jade Emperor's five shuffled trials. Rhythm, memory, reversal, mind games — no two bosses fight alike.

◆ A BESTIARY OF KOREAN FOLKLORE
Dokkaebi fire, egg ghosts, water ghosts, the unkillable Bulgasari — then hopping gangsi (vulnerable only the instant they land), fire sprites that explode after death, ice wraiths you must freeze and cut twice, mirror ghosts that flip to your other flank, lantern goblins that dim your sight, and storm imps that punish a careless swing with lightning. Every creature has its own answer.

◆ ELITE MID-BOSSES
In the later stages, a giant elite yokai crowned in gold crashes into the fight. Fell it for glory and rich rewards.

◆ THE SWORDSMAN'S ARTS
· BURST (two-finger tap): unleash gathered sword-force in a sweeping blast
· TWIN BLADES (three-finger tap): draw both ways at once
· Three weapons to master: sword, spear, and twin blades

◆ ALSO FEATURING
· Bloodless ink-wash combat — foes burst into black ink and gold dust
· 16-track gugak-fusion soundtrack
· Hall of Blades local rankings and an endless mode
· English & Korean, playable offline
· Completely free — no forced ads. Ads appear only if YOU choose to continue.
