MATCHING EMOTIONS GAMES
Helping autistic children recognise and name emotions — one face at a time.

TWO GAMES. ONE ESSENTIAL SKILL.
Matching Emotions Games features two character-led mini-games designed to help autistic children build emotional recognition, empathy, and social understanding through engaging, playful experiences.

THE GAMES
Oink Oink — A warm and playful picnic adventure where Mr Pig and Mrs Pig share a day out together, feeling all kinds of emotions along the way. Children match and identify each feeling as the story unfolds, building emotional recognition and vocabulary through a relatable, character-driven experience.
Robbie the Robot — A playful sci-fi challenge that teaches emotional recognition through the eyes of a curious robot learning what feelings look like — making emotions approachable, fun, and easy to understand.
Each game features its own character to anchor the skill and celebrate effort, with sensory-friendly visuals, predictable patterns, and clear audio cues designed for autistic learners.

WHY THIS APP
Recognising emotions in others is one of the foundational skills for social connection — and for many autistic children, it's a skill that benefits from targeted, repeated practice in a safe environment. These two games give children the space to explore and identify emotions at their own pace, building the recognition and vocabulary that carry into everyday interactions at home, at school, and in the community.
Skills covered include emotion recognition, facial expression matching, emotional vocabulary, and empathy — aligned with DSM-5 domain A1.

BACKED BY SCIENCE — GUIDED BY VALUES
