User Reviews

Electric Circuit Studio is free and beginner-friendly with strong educational features, including transient/AC/DC analyses and Bode plots. It’s highly useful for students and hobbyists. However, users frequently report fragile wiring interactions, occasional crashes or memory errors, and missing features like component search and in-app help. Improvements in usability, real-time plotting, and component support would address the main drawbacks.
Pros
  • Free to use with no ads or payments
  • Beginner-friendly and easy to learn for studying electronics
  • Feature-rich free simulator: transient/AC/DC analyses, Bode plots with overlays, undo/redo, zoom, saving/exporting
  • Large component library and support for images/text to aid learning
  • Widely praised and recommended by students and hobbyists
Cons
  • Wiring and dragging UI is error-prone; connecting wires can become messy when moving components
  • App can crash or show errors and memory-related issues
  • Missing essential features: component search, in-app help, and easier copy/paste or creation of custom components
  • Performance limitations and learning curve: slower simulations and a steep learning curve without guidance
  • Some components behave unexpectedly or are not fully supported (e.g., PMOS, op-amp swings)

Electric Circuit Studio (ECS) is the real deal. I was after a circuit capture app for Android to complement the professional standard ECAD applications on Windows: Protel, Eagle, LT Spice etc & ECS is it. It is easy to use, operates well & has comprehensive functions. There is also a very helpful user guide on the net. Highly recommended.
