E-Keyed File Encryptor

The E-Keyed File Encryptor was designed and developed from the ground up with security at the forefront. Utilizing a Master Encryption Key unique to your device, a Custom Device Linking System, and multiple advanced security features, you can rest assured that your data, or files you wish to share, are thoroughly protected.

Operating completely offline, the E-Keyed File Encryptor requires no internet access (see notes below). It only requests storage permission for encrypting or decrypting selected files and camera permission to decrypt encrypted QR codes. This makes it an ideal tool for users who prioritize privacy and security.

Please note: The "Network" permissions are only used to satisfy Android requirements for local area network (LAN) connectivity, enabling the P2P Messenger feature within the E-Keyed Security Hub to send secure messages or OTP files over your local network.

The E-Keyed File Encryptor offers two encryption options: Encrypt File and Encrypt File with Password, both utilizing 256-bit AES encryption and Argon2.

Encrypt File: Recommended for personal use, this option links the encrypted file to a Master Encryption Key unique to your device, generated on app startup. The Custom Device Linking System ensures that only your device can decrypt these files.

Encrypt File with Password: Recommended for sharing files, this option does not use your Master Encryption Key or device information. Instead, it links the file to a password (16-128 characters) of your choosing, paired with a custom verification system.

The E-Keyed File Encryptor includes a feature aptly named "The E-Keyed Guard Dog," which continuously monitors for security, validity, integrity, and system check failures, providing alerts as necessary. The "E-Keyed Security Hub" provides a range of helpful information, a P2P Messenger, and several tools to perform diagnostics on both the app and files generated with the E-Keyed File Encryptor.

Your data security and privacy are my top priorities. The E-Keyed File Encryptor will never encrypt, decrypt, or modify your files without your explicit permission. Active support is provided for bug reports, questions, and feature requests, with a commitment to promptly respond and improve the app based on user feedback.

Important Notes:
The E-Keyed File Encryptor was developed with one sole purpose: to keep your data safe and secure. The Master Encryption Key is partially derived from your device hardware info, combined with additional random data for increased security. Therefore, if you lose your device, change devices, uninstall the app, or clear your Secure Storage without first decrypting your files using the original device and that specific Master Encryption Key, your data cannot be recovered.

There are no "backdoors" or "skeleton keys." If you lose access, it is impossible for me to assist in decrypting your files, even in dire circumstances. Only the user with the original device and the unique Master Encryption Key can decrypt the data.

Bonus Encryption Feature:
The Custom One-Time Pad (OTP) encryption system was developed to provide the highest level of security for creating, sending, or sharing encrypted messages via text files or QR codes. By utilizing this method, you can generate one OTP Key File and encrypt as many messages or QR codes as you like for a single recipient without compromising the security of your communications.
