Pulse Oximeter - Beat & Oxygen

Pulse Oximeter lets you measure your blood oxygen saturation (SPO2) and heart rate using the built-in sensors on select Samsung Galaxy devices. Whether you're at home, office, or exercising, this app provides fast and continuous tracking of your vitals for fitness and wellness monitoring.

Key Features:

  • SPO2 measurement range: 70%-100%
  • Heart rate measurement: 30-190 BPM
  • Real-time pulse graph (photoplethysmogram)
  • Save and tag measurement results
  • Daily reminders to track oxygen and heart rate
  • Share screenshots with others easily
  • Export data as CSV or PDF (paid)
  • Data backup, restore, and transfer (paid)

Please note the app works with built-in sensors on specific Samsung Galaxy Note and S series models and is intended for general fitness use, not as a medical device. Calibration and verification methods like "hold your breath" are available to ensure better accuracy.

User Reviews

Users praise the app for being user-friendly, generally accurate, and useful for monitoring oxygen saturation and heart rate, with SpO2 sensor support on Samsung devices and a free-to-use model. However, multiple reports highlight reliability and compatibility problems across devices, and some complain about daily limits and ads in the free version.
Pros
  • Easy to use and intuitive (noted by several reviewers)
  • Accurate oxygen saturation and heart-rate readings (positive comparisons to alternatives)
  • Supports SpO2 sensor on devices, especially Samsung
  • Free to use and serves as a solid health-monitoring tool (no mandatory payment)
Cons
  • Inconsistent device compatibility across phones/ROMs (e.g., Samsung vs Motorola, custom OS)
  • Reliability issues leading to readouts not appearing or the app not working on some devices
  • Free version includes daily limits and ads

Insanely long - talking! - stupid full screen ad popping up. When the stupidity ends, the "close" button does not work, leaving the ad blocking the function of the app until restart. Seriously? Well, great way how to turn away potential customers by showing how far greed can go. Fair to assume that such app collects all info it can for sale. Promising to be better than Samsung health by allowing to set the length of test and showing pulse and oxy at 1 place; The above makes it to trash.
