DuckDuckGo delivers a privacy‑first search and browser. Our built‑in search never tracks your queries, while third‑party tracker blocking and cookie controls help limit data collection. Optional AI features like Duck.ai are private and never used to train models, and tools such as Email Protection and Duck Player improve privacy for email and YouTube viewing.

Additional privacy tools include HTTPS enforcement, App Tracking Protection (blocks hidden trackers in other apps locally—uses a VPN connection but is not a VPN and does not collect data), fingerprinting resistance, and secure sync across devices. The Fire Button clears tabs and browsing data, and cookie pop‑up suppression further reduces tracking. I wish I had switched to DDG sooner! I was a 10+ year Firefox user, and lately their backtracking on privacy disappointed me, among other changes they made. I heard DDG had had a surge of popularity and was very private so thought "why not?". And now I am never going back! I love how much more private it feels - the tracker blocker, built in ad-blocker, the option to remove AI, the FIRE button to instantly erase all your data and tabs. The layout is customisable too, so very easy to get used to.
