Jellow Basic AAC Communicator is a free augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system designed specifically for children with speech difficulties, including those with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down’s syndrome. Featuring over 1200 child-friendly, culturally relevant icons and pre-made sentences, this tool helps non-verbal children communicate and gradually learn to speak. Its intuitive interface uses central category buttons and expressive side buttons, allowing users to generate spoken sentences by simple clicks. With support for multiple languages and accents such as English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, and more, Jellow Basic is accessible and inclusive. Developed at IIT Bombay with UNICEF and other partners, it includes accessibility features, switch compatibility, and customization options for personal boards. Jellow Basic emboldens children’s voices by making communication easier and fun.
