Dream Ember

Dream Ember is a minimalist arcade experience built around rhythm, attention, and emotional contrast. The game unfolds on a limited playfield wrapped in a dark red atmosphere, where heat glows at the center and a small chicken shines softly from within, becoming the visual core of the experience.

The player controls a glowing chicken that continuously moves across the field. Positive objects — hearts, feathers, and droplets — appear randomly and must be collected within a short time window. Each collected object becomes part of the character’s growing tail, visually reflecting progress and momentum. If a positive object is not collected in time, it fades away, reinforcing the idea of fleeting opportunity.

Not all objects are safe. Dark spheres emerge among the glowing elements and represent danger. Contact with them results in the loss of one life. The player starts with three lives, making every decision and movement meaningful. A critical mistake — colliding with the character’s own tail — immediately ends the run by consuming all remaining lives.

The playfield has no hard borders. When the character moves beyond one edge, it seamlessly reappears on the opposite side, preserving flow and continuity rather than punishment. The game tracks only meaningful progress: the number of collected positive objects. Only results greater than zero are recorded as records.

Dream Ember is designed to respect player time and focus. Progress is preserved even if the game is interrupted, closed, or exited to the menu. When the app is minimized or the player switches to another application, the game automatically pauses and displays a pause window. Returning to the app requires a conscious action to resume, maintaining control and clarity.

At its core, Dream Ember is not about speed, but about awareness — a calm yet tense loop of light, risk, and persistence.
