Caremother Anandimaa

Caremother is award winning mobile pregnancy care App that helps NGOs and Governments to remotely monitor mother's health during pregnancy. AnandiMaa can identify risk factors early on so as to treat the complications promptly. All medical information related to pregnancy i.e. symptoms, history, test results can be transferred to the doctor in real-time for immediate decisions and treatment.

Caremother has received national and international recognition from various agencies including Yahoo, Stanford, United Nations, Grand Challenges Canada, the Queen's Young Leaders (UK), Department of Science and Technology (Govt of India) and Google Developers Launchpad. AnandiMaa solution consists of: 1) AnandiMaa App and 2) An ANC checkup kit for a clinician or a healthcare worker. Below are few important features.

1) Remote pregnancy health monitoring: App is to be used primarily by the healthcare provider to connect with the expectant mother and streamline healthcare delivery for her during the entire course of pregnancy. App allows healthcare staff to view data from various tests, as calculated and entered from a point-of-care device. These tests include baby's heart rate, mother's blood pressure, blood sugar, hemoglobin, urine protein and sugar, height and weight, pulse and other vital parameters, and a range of other standard medical tests (e.g. hepatitis, thyroid, HIV). This data can be monitored in real time to identify pregnancy risks, and ensure that they are addressed by the doctor.

2) Pregnancy card: generates a pregnancy card that can be stored and shared with your doctor, digitally when required. It also helps view the test reports uploaded, resulting in better health analysis and tracking.

3) Scheduler and tracker:
Scheduler lets you know the current week of your patient’s pregnancy, medical advice to keep in mind, and precautions that need to be taken from the mother's side. Tracker shows your appointment details or consultations, which can be used by the doctors/healthcare providers, for timely check-ups.

4) High-risk categorization:
Each and every pregnancy will be categorized as per its risk status i.e. high- or low-risk, with reasons (e.g. anemia, pre-ecclampsia) with grades (e.g. moderate anemia). This will ensure that no pregnancy is left out, from our focused care model, and medical management is targeted to those who need attention.

5) Post-natal care:
We have added a new module, to record the baby's health status (APGAR score) and growth after delivery, including height (length), weight and head circumference. We have also included mother's basic clinical parameters to be monitored through this module. This will monitor your health during the critical first 42 days after the delivery.
