CAREKID — Safe walking

CAREKID is a child safety app that detects when your child is walking while using their phone — and immediately warns them to stop. Built for parents who worry about distracted-walking accidents around streets, school, and home.

WHY CAREKID
Every year thousands of children are hurt because they were looking at their phone while walking. A 9-year-old's reflexes can't catch a car coming from the side when their eyes are on a screen. CAREKID prevents the moment before the accident.

HOW IT WORKS
1. You install CAREKID on your child's phone and on your phone
2. You pair the devices in 10 seconds using a one-time code
3. Your child uses their phone normally — texting, games, social media
4. When CAREKID detects walking motion + phone in active use, it shows a clear warning notification immediately
5. The warning stops automatically when the child stops walking

PERMISSIONS WE ASK FOR
• Location (Always Allow) — needed to detect walking speed in the background even when the app is closed
• Motion & Fitness — to detect step patterns
• Notifications — to show the warning

AGES 6-17 with three age-appropriate warning styles.
