CipherMail pour Android est une application Android qui peut être utilisée avec votre application de messagerie Android existante pour envoyer et recevoir des e-mails S/MIME signés numériquement et cryptés avec un smartphone Android.

Caractéristiques:

- S/MIME 3.1 (X.509, RFC 3280), cryptage des e-mails et signature numérique

- Compatible avec les clients S/MIME existants (comme Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.)

Remarques:

- CipherMail pour Android ne fournit pas de fonctionnalité pour récupérer les e-mails. Une application de messagerie Android existante, par exemple Gmail, K9 ou le client de messagerie Android par défaut, doit être utilisée pour récupérer le message smime.p7m joint chiffré.
- Un message signé numériquement et signé en clair ne peut être vérifié qu'en ouvrant le message en tant que fichier .eml à partir d'un fichier. Le message complet est requis pour la validation. Cependant, les clients de messagerie existants ne permettent pas d'accéder au message complet.
- Si vous utilisez O365, assurez-vous que SMTP est activé.

Autorisations :

L'autorisation Contacts est requise pour rechercher les destinataires de la page de composition. Si l'autorisation Contacts n'est pas accordée, l'application fonctionnera correctement mais les destinataires ne pourront pas être recherchés.

CAN I GIVE A MINUS TEN STARS? IT WAS COMPLETLY UNUSABLE, DUE TO ZERO "IN APP" EXPLAINATION, & NOW IT'S FILLED WITH INVASIVE PERMISSIONS! IT'S ONLY PRACTICAL USE WAS TO SHARE UNSEEN EMAILS TO IT, IN ORDER TO VIEW & USE ELSEWARE. I REINSTALLED THE OLD VERSION AFTER UNINSTALLING. THIS IS AN UNFORTUNATE WASTE OF WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A USABLE PRIVACY APP FOR EVERYONE. IN MY OPINION, THIS DEVELOPER IS COMPROMISED BY GOVERNMENT. APP HAS BEEN UNUSABLE FOR YEARS DUE TO LAZY DEVELOPER, WHICH ALWAYS = .GOV

This only implements half of the solution. You can send encrypted emails all right, but in order to receive encrypted emails you need a separate client. If it integrates well with your client of choice, fine; otherwise, this is not what you are looking for. (07/14/22) Seven years after my first review, the situation has not changed. Removing one star: in seven years the developer could have implemented the complete solution.
