NIIS is two things in one app: a place for citizens to reach government services, and a working platform for the officials who deliver them — from a field officer filing a report in a village to a directorate reviewing it the same day.

FOR CITIZENS

Government schemes
Browse over 700 central and state schemes, searchable by keyword and organised by category and department. See Nagaland's flagship programmes — CMLIS, CMHIS, CMMFI — with full details on benefits, eligibility, application process and required documents.

Grievances
Submit a grievance to the right department and follow it from submission to resolution, with CPGRAMS integration. Check status, add feedback, or reopen if unresolved.

News, advisories and alerts
Verified news, press releases, circulars, policies and announcements published directly by departments, filterable by type. Emergency alerts surface immediately.

Also inside: all 17 districts, the state's leadership and department directory, festivals and destinations, and India Cine Hub — a single window for filming and event permissions.

FOR GOVERNMENT STAFF

Eight defined roles — Super Admin, DIPR Admin, Editor, DPRO, APRO, Information Assistant, Field Officer and Citizen — each with a workspace scoped to what that role actually does.

Field reporting
Field officers receive assigned tasks and file reports from the field with GPS coordinates captured on a live map, plus photo, video and document attachments. Reports carry district and sub-division, and geo-flagged submissions are marked for verification.

Review and approval
Supervisors review, approve or reject field reports and content, with version history and an approval trail on every record. Workflow delegations let responsibilities pass to a stand-in without losing accountability.

Content management
Editors and information staff draft, submit and publish news, circulars, advisories, schemes and photo essays through a staged approval workflow, with a media library and rich-text editing.

Task and inspection management
Assign tasks with notes and due dates, track completion and overdue items, and run inspections from reusable templates.

Analytics and reporting
Seven report views — Content Uploads, District Summary, Field Staff Activity, Grievance Analytics, News Published, Tasks and Workflow Analytics — all filterable by date range, district, sub-division, department, role and content type.

Media monitoring
Track press coverage across configured sources with sentiment review, a moderation queue, reviewer assignment, configurable alert rules and scheduled digests.

Grievance handling
Assign grievances to officers, add internal notes, resolve with a recorded outcome, and handle reopened cases.

User administration
Create and manage users, assign roles and departments, activate or deactivate accounts, and inspect a full audit trail of actions taken across the system.

Passwordless sign-in with your mobile number and a one-time code. Available in English and Hindi. Built to GIGW guidelines and WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with screen-reader support and keyboard navigation.
