Chess

Chess is a comprehensive application for playing, analyzing, and studying chess. It supports standard chess and Chess960 with Bullet, Blitz, and Rapid time controls.

Users can play online against other players or offline using Bluetooth peer-to-peer connection and local Pass & Play. Premium users can access the behavior cloning feature, which uses Stockfish evaluation to train custom AI bots that mimic a specific user's playing style based on their match history.

The app features a database of over 4.5 million tactical puzzles categorized by 50+ themes (forks, pins, mates, etc.). It utilizes an SM-2 spaced repetition system that automatically reschedules failed puzzles for future review to aid in pattern recognition. Additional puzzle modes include timed Puzzle Rush and a generated Daily Puzzle. An opening explorer is available with multiple opening variations for study.

Post-game analysis is powered by the Stockfish 18 engine. It calculates Centipawn Loss (CPL) and provides phase-wise accuracy scores for the Opening, Middlegame and Endgame. Users can also use the interactive Board Editor for custom position setup and deep multi-PV engine evaluation. The application includes a progression system with XP, daily quests, and achievements. Users can add friends, send match challenges and communicate using encrypted direct messaging.

Certain features, such as unlimited daily game analysis and unlimited rated puzzles, require a Base or Premium subscription.
