this is not very user friendly. You have to go to the hq for registration. I have used other banking apps too. I just need to provide my infos and the bank verified my details via call and some questioning. So the matter of safety issue is a lame excuse. Instead you should focous on how you can give us more facilities in safe way. Develop YOUR farewalls and datas.
