Baby Layers: Weather Dressing

Dressing your baby shouldn't be guesswork.

Baby Layers is a clothing guide by temperature: it tells you what to put on your baby based on the weather you're actually dealing with. Set the temperature, choose outside, at home, or sleep, and you get a clear list of layers — from a onesie to a winter jacket, or the right sleep sack for the room.

THREE SITUATIONS, ONE CLEAR ANSWER

Outside — layers for the walk, adjusted for wind, rain, and strong sun, and for the car seat: no puffy coat under the straps. At home — what a normal room actually calls for, without the extra bundling. Sleep — the right sleep sack for the room temperature, and what goes underneath.

BUILT AROUND REAL BABIES

Newborns hold heat differently than toddlers, so recommendations shift with age. Carrying your baby in a sling or carrier? Turn Carrier on and everything drops a layer, because your body heat counts as warmth. If your little one simply runs warm or cool, Adjust to your baby shifts every answer to match. Prefer a T-shirt to a bodysuit? Pick it once and it is remembered.

WHY THIS?

Every recommendation can explain itself. Tap through and see how the temperature, the weather, age, and the carrier add up to the layers on screen, with the published guidance from health services and safe-sleep charities behind each piece. Where those sources differ, the app says so.

GOOD TO KNOW

Short, skimmable notes on the things new parents actually look up. How to tell if your baby is too warm or too cold. What TOG means and which sleep sack fits which room. Why puffy coats don't belong under car seat straps. Why two thin layers usually beat one thick one.

BABY LAYERS PRO

Your own wardrobe in the answer: add the clothes you actually have as stickers made on your phone, or as photos. Save the outfits that work and find them again when the temperature comes round. Let the dial follow the weather forecast for where you are or the cities you choose, with wind and rain. Five pieces and one outfit are free, and Pro unlocks the rest with one payment, no subscription.

NO ACCOUNT

You set the temperature yourself, or with Pro let the forecast set it, for a city you pick or your rough location if you allow it. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. Your clothes and photos stay on your phone. Only anonymous analytics to help improve the app — never anything that identifies you.
