Device Test

Device Test helps you quickly check the hardware and system features on your Android device.

Use it before video calls, after a repair, when buying a used phone, or anytime you want to confirm that your device features are working properly.

Key tests include:

Camera Test
Preview your camera and confirm that camera access works.

Microphone Test
Check microphone input and view live audio levels.

Speaker Test
Play a test sound to verify speaker output.

Network and Wi-Fi
Check connection status, Wi-Fi details, and basic network information.

Battery Test
View battery level, charging status, power save mode, and health-related information available from your device.

Display and Touch
Test screen behavior, touch input, brightness, and related display features.

Sensors
Check common device sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, proximity, ambient light, barometer, and pedometer where supported.

Bluetooth and NFC
Verify Bluetooth scanning/connectivity support and NFC availability.

System Tools
Check device information, notifications, clipboard behavior, biometric authentication support, vibration, volume control, flashlight, text-to-speech, and speech recognition.

Privacy-first design
Device Test is built as an on-device utility. No account is required. The app does not include advertising, analytics, or crash reporting SDKs. Hardware test results are shown in the app and are not uploaded to our servers.

Permissions are requested only when needed for a specific test. For example, the camera permission is used for the camera preview, microphone permission is used for audio input tests, and location or nearby Wi-Fi permission may be needed by Android to display Wi-Fi details.
