The Bible du Semeur is a new French translation of the Bible edited by biblical scholar Alfred Kuen and published in 1992.

Its stated objective was to develop a 20th-century French version of the Bible adapted to the understanding of the widest possible audience and with a Protestant evangelical orientation.

It originates from a Bible translation project by Alfred Kuen in the 1970s entitled Letters for Our Time. This pioneering work sought to translate the biblical Word into everyday language, as accessible as possible. Subsequently, a "Bible du Semeur Translation Committee" was created to take over this work, notably removing its paraphrase.
