Areca Nut/ OSMF Awareness

The app looks to engage its audience to improve their knowledge on the diagnosis, symptoms as well as their treatment options at each stage of the disease.
While there are major awareness drives for other substance associated illnesses like lung cancer and liver cancer, conversations about OSMF are non-existent. To this end, the app aims to facilitate dialogue about the condition. We all know a family member, or a colleague or maybe a housekeeper who is addicted to areca nut chewing. If you’ve considered talking to them about it, there is no better time than now. You can be social ambassadors, empowering your community. It can also be used as an effective patient education aid in clinics and hospitals by dental health professionals.
Together, we can stop this epidemic that is in our own backyard.

Note: The app is currently available only in English. However, will soon be rolling out versions in different regional languages. We are reminded every day that our project is about the people it serves and we are committed to making the app more accessible and coherent.
