Wondering if tomatoes really did go up this week? Price Diary helps you log what you pay for everyday items so you can spot trends, catch rising prices, and shop smarter. Lightweight, offline-first, and private by design.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

🥬 Track items across 15 categories
Groceries, vegetables, fruits, dairy, beverages, snacks, household, personal care, cosmetics, medicine, electronics, clothing, footwear, stationery, and more. Each item carries its own measurement type — weight, volume, count, or length.

📏 Smart unit conversion
Type in what you actually paid: "500 g for ₹20", "750 ml for ₹120", or "1 dozen for ₹72". Price Diary converts everything to a fixed primary unit (₹/kg, ₹/L, ₹/piece, ₹/m) under the hood. A 500 g pack and a 1 kg bag of the same item compare apples to apples — no mental math.

📈 See trends at a glance
The dashboard shows every item with its current per-unit price, the change since your last entry, a direction arrow, and a sparkline. Filter by category, search by name.

📊 Full price history per item
Tap any card to see a line chart of price-per-unit over time, plus every log you've ever recorded for that item — date, quantity, total paid, derived per-unit price.

🧾 Build bills at the till
Tap Bills → Create bill, punch in items and quantities, and watch the total update live as you go. Prices auto-fill from your latest log. If today's shop price differs, update it inline — saving the bill also adds a new entry to that item's price history. One tap, two jobs done.

📂 Keep a shopping history
Saved bills land in your bill history with date, item count, and total. Tap a bill to see line-by-line detail. Delete bills you no longer need.

✏️ Edit item details
Rename items or change their category any time. Past bills stay frozen as you saved them — they're a record of what actually happened, not a moving target.

🔒 Offline-first, private by design
Everything lives locally in a small SQLite database on your device. No account, no sign-in, no telemetry needed to start. Your prices, items, and bills don't leave your phone.
