Decasis Digital Signage

Decasis Digital Signage is the Android player app for organizations using the Decasis managed digital signage platform.

This app is designed for business-owned Android TV and Android box devices that are paired to an active Decasis Digital Signage account. Once configured, it plays assigned signage content, syncs playlists, caches media for reliable playback, and supports remote updates and device management.

Use Decasis Digital Signage to:

- Pair a screen with your Decasis signage account.
- Play scheduled images and videos on business displays.
- Keep assigned media available for offline playback.
- Sync playlist and screen updates from the Decasis platform.
- Support kiosk-style playback on managed devices.
- Help administrators monitor playback reliability.

Accessibility Service — Kiosk Enforcement

This app uses Android's Accessibility Service exclusively to support kiosk-mode operation on managed business displays. No user personal data is accessed or collected through this service.

Specifically, the Accessibility Service is required to:

- Keep the signage app in the foreground — The service monitors foreground app changes and automatically returns the signage player to the screen if any other application attempts to take focus. This ensures uninterrupted playback on dedicated display hardware.

- Suppress unauthorized system dialogs — On many Android TV boxes, device manufacturers push firmware update prompts (OTA dialogs) that can interrupt playback. The service detects and dismisses these dialogs to maintain continuous signage operation.

- Block unintended hardware key presses — On dedicated kiosk displays, certain hardware keys (such as Home and Back) would allow end users to exit the app. The service intercepts these key events to enforce the kiosk lockdown configured by the device administrator.

- Enable administrator maintenance access — Authorized administrators can temporarily unlock the kiosk by pressing a hidden key sequence on the remote control, which opens Android Settings for device management. The service enforces re-lock after a timeout.

The Accessibility Service is only active while the app is deployed as a managed kiosk display. It does not read, transmit, or process any personal information, text input, passwords, or user content. It is used solely to ensure reliable, unattended playback on dedicated business hardware.

This app is intended for existing Decasis Digital Signage customers and managed business deployments. A Decasis Digital Signage account, organization setup, or service contract is required to use the app.
