HurriComm

HurriComm is a simple, cost-effective pitch-comm system developed by a college showcase baseball club coach for calling pitches.

Popular pitch-comm systems on the market today cost between $1,000 and $2,000 and require equipment/devices/batteries/wires. Most coaches who call pitches want to move beyond limited hand signals or cumbersome number systems, but simply cannot incur the expense or the burden of more equipment.

With HurriComm, there is no need for high school, travel/club, or college teams to purchase expensive pitch-calling systems. No need for coaches to keep track of and maintain more devices, or charge extra batteries. No need for catchers to strap more equipment to their back/arm or wear a wired earpiece while behind the plate.

Instead, coaches and catchers need nothing more than everyday items -- a smartphone with the HurriComm app and a bluetooth earbud!

Coaches: simply pair & connect any "sport" or "sleep" style bluetooth earbud to your device (or even an old device), give the earbud to your catcher, fire up HurriComm, and you're ready to go! Try it for free, then activate the monthly subscription when you're in season and cancel/pause it when you're not.

HurriComm was developed to adhere to NFHS rules regarding "one-way communication" for pitch-calling and should be used by coaches in compliance with your league or tournament rules.

It is recommended to put your device in do not disturb mode so your catcher isn't forced to hear your notifications or calls while competing.

Pitches can be added/removed/reordered. Quick commands can also be added/removed/reordered. Quick commands which end with an ellipse ("...") do not auto-send to allow coaches to append additional detail before sending. See user guide for complete details.
