DataOne - Field Data

DataOne is a field data collection tool used by enumerators, transcribers, and supervisors on commissioned research projects. It is distributed to authorized users only and is not for general consumer use.

What you can do with DataOne:
• Record a field interview — video and audio together, with optional handwritten transcript pages photographed in-app.
• GPS-tag every session at the point of capture so the location is auditable.
• Queue uploads for delivery to the platform — recordings keep uploading in the background even when you close the app, and resume after a flaky network drops.
• Transcribers receive their assigned sessions in a dashboard, can label utterances with speaker, emotion, sentiment, and intent, and submit transcripts for supervisor review.
• Supervisors review submissions, request revisions, and approve completed work.
• Administrators manage users, projects, and assignments, and run platform analytics.

Designed for field conditions:
• Recordings persist on the device until uploaded, even if the app is force-killed.
• Storage warnings before recording and again before queueing, so you never lose work to a full disk.
• Friendly errors when the network is down — uploads resume automatically when reconnected.

DataOne respects your data. We encrypt every recording at rest and in transit, we don't share recordings with third parties outside the research project they were collected under, and respondents may request deletion of their session at any time via the support contact below.
