Scan a license plate with your camera or type it in manually, and immediately receive all the official information about the vehicle — directly from the Ministry of Transportation databases (data.gov.il). Add your vehicles to your personal garage and receive notifications for recalls, tests, insurance and treatments.

Recognize a plate using a camera (local OCR on the device — the image is not sent anywhere). Full support for the Israeli format (7 and 8 digits) with manual typing as a backup.

✦ Official information about each vehicle
Manufacturer, model, year, color, fuel type, engine capacity, power, emissions, green rating, ABS, ESC, airbags, number of doors, towing, accessibility (handicapped sign), test history and last mileage — all from public state databases, without intermediate providers.

✦ Recall alerts
Automatic check of active recalls against the Israeli Ministry of Transportation database, with automatic completion from the American NHTSA database when there is no Israeli record. Full description of the defect, method of repair, importer details and a phone number to contact. A prominent banner appears on the vehicle screen when there is an active recall — and complete silence when everything is in order.

✦ Test and insurance reminders
Enter a test and insurance date, and receive a local alert 30, 14, 7 and one day before the date — at 9:00 am. Personalized reminders for any purpose (oil change, licensing, return of rental keys, etc.).

✦ Maintenance and mileage log
Full documentation of each treatment: date, description, mileage, cost. View treatment history, track mileage over time, and automatically calculate the number of days since the last treatment.

✦ Private Document Archive
Save your car license, insurance policy, receipts, and warning light images — in organized categories, for each vehicle separately. Supports images and PDFs. OCR for automatic extraction of amounts and dates. All files are stored exclusively on your device — no uploads to the cloud.

Plate is an independent utility and does not replace the Ministry of Transportation, insurance companies or garages. The data displayed comes from public databases of the State of Israel.
