Integrated fishing app featuring a map of 2,000 fishing spots, real-time tides and fishing conditions, and a fish species guide.
DanFish is an integrated fishing app that brings together maps of over 2,000 fishing spots nationwide, real-time tides and conditions, a fish species guide, catch rankings, and even group fishing trips all in one app. It supports both saltwater and freshwater (river) fishing. It helps you enjoy a fun and responsible fishing life through the v2 Fishing Index, which combines actual KHOA tide measurements, weather data from the Korea Meteorological Administration, and water temperatures from oceanographic stations, as well as notifications for minimum catch sizes by species.
▣ Key Features
[1] Fishing Spot Map — Over 2,000 Locations Nationwide
Search for fishing spots across the country—including harbors, ports, rocky shores, breakwaters, and inland waters—at a glance on the map. It provides information on fish species, techniques, access routes, and amenities for each spot, accompanied by photos. Map-based search allows you to instantly find nearby fishing points and efficiently plan your fishing trips.
[2] v2 Fishing Index — Real-time Environmental Data Integration
Provides the v2 Fishing Index by time of day, combining tides and currents from the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA), wind direction, wind speed, and precipitation from the Korea Meteorological Administration, and water temperature, atmospheric pressure, and wave height from national oceanographic stations. Check high and low tide times, spring and neap tide cycles, and current directions all on one screen to determine the optimal time for a fishing trip.
[3] Fish Encyclopedia + Minimum Size Notification
Provides an accurate fish encyclopedia based on public seeds from RAWRIS and NIER. Information on the scientific names, habitats, closed seasons, and minimum size limits (sizes that must not be caught) of major species such as flounder, rockfish, sea bass, black sea bream, needlefish, and cutlassfish is organized based on official data. If you register a species, you will be automatically notified when the size of the fish you catch is below the minimum size limit.
[4] Fishing Ranking + Fishing Log
Get a quick overview of which fishing spots are currently good with regional and species-specific fishing rankings. Record your fishing log along with photos of your catch to build your own patterns, and use the catch reports of other anglers to help decide on your fishing trips. The log automatically records information on time, location, fish species, and tides.
[5] Group Trips + Group Chat
Plan fishing trips with family, friends, or clubs and manage the schedule, number of people, and vehicles on a single screen. Through group chat, you can share your supplies before departure, your location upon arrival, and catch records in real-time.
[6] Favorites + Notifications
Save your frequently visited fishing spots to Favorites to receive automatic notifications regarding tides, weather, and changes in fishing conditions in those areas. Plan your fishing schedule efficiently so you don't miss the optimal time for a trip.
