Users generally praise Cyrus by Malwarebytes for strong security and quality, with many calling it essential for privacy. However, recurring complaints include that it's not freemium and is expensive, with a paywall blocking features until subscription. Sign-in/onboarding problems, including Google/Instagram login issues, are common. Privacy concerns about sharing user data with advertisers (and partnerships with Google/Meta) are noted. Some report reliability issues (VPN not turning on, fingerprint sensor problems) and limited customer support. Overall sentiment is mixed but security-focused features are repeatedly valued.
