SDCCDsafe is the official safety app of the San Diego Community College District. Developed in partnership with the College Police Department, this app provides students, faculty, and staff with direct access to safety resources, emergency contacts, and real-time alerts.

Designed to support all SDCCD locations—including City College, Mesa College, Miramar College, and the seven campuses of San Diego College of Continuing Education—this app helps you stay connected and protected wherever you are on campus.

SDCCDsafe features include:
- Emergency Options: Quickly connect to the right services during an emergency or to report a safety concern. Whether it’s urgent or non-urgent, this feature helps you reach the appropriate contacts for all San Diego Community College District campuses.

- Call College Police: Contact the College Police in case of an emergency.

- Friend Walk: Send your location to a friend through email or SMS on your device. Once the friend accepts the Friend Walk request, the user picks their destination and their friend tracks their location in real time; they can keep an eye on them to make sure they make it safely to their destination.

- Report a Tip: Multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to the SDCCD College Police Department.

- Campus Maps: Access maps for SDCCD campuses.
- Safety Toolbox: Enhance your safety with the set of tools provided in one convenient app.
- Chat with College Police: Communicate live with dispatchers at College Police via chat.
- Notification History: Find previous Push Notifications for this app with the date and time.
- Share Map with your Location: Send your location to a friend by sending them a map of your position.
- I’m OK!: Send your location and a message indicating that “You’re OK” to a recipient of your choosing.

- Safety Notifications: Receive Timely Warnings, Crime Alerts, and real-time emergency instructions from the SDCCD Police Department during on-campus incidents or critical situations.
