Review summary

User reviews are mixed. A core group appreciates the Alexa integration, noting it can locate a phone and play music through Alexa devices, and that the app works for some users across multiple devices. However, a larger portion report serious issues: pervasive ads and deceptive monetization, including pop-ups and attempts to bill users or charge cards despite claimed free access. Additional complaints focus on reliability and setup: features not consistently functioning, text/call options failing, and lengthy or confusing setup steps. Overall, some users find value in the basic features, but persistent billing, ad, and usability problems drive most negative feedback.
Pros
  • Alexa integration lets you locate your phone and play music on Alexa devices.
  • Works across multiple devices and apps, offering cross-device usefulness for some users.
  • Some reviewers report that it does what it's supposed to do and provides the expected basic functionality.
Cons
  • Intrusive ads and deceptive monetization, including popups that resemble the app and hard-to-spot ads.
  • Several users report unauthorized charges or billing issues and difficulty canceling or stopping charges.
  • Reliability and setup friction, with features not consistently working and lengthy, error-prone setup steps.

Just installed 05/11/2026. The installation went smoothly. Looks like it's always running in the background, so it's going to eat up a little battery life. It states I get 50 voice commands a month. An upgrade is $0.99 a month or $5 a year.

Obsolete, unnecessary and untrustworthy. You can already do most of these things effortlessly using your Echo device and Alexa app. Your Google Assistant and Google Phone Find Hub can do a far better job without compromising your security and privacy. If you don't care about your privacy and only want your Echo device/Alexa app to send and receive/read aloud texts and play music files from your device (most of us don't have music files nowadays - we stream music) then suit yourself.
