Custom Maps lets you convert almost any map image into a GPS map that works completely offline. Compatible with phones, tablets, and Chromebooks, it supports map files in JPG, PNG, and PDF formats. This extension enables you to prepare navigation maps for parks or trails by using brochures, downloaded images, or pictures of paper maps before heading out. Simply select two reference points on your map and align them with locations on Google Maps for accurate positioning.

Privacy-focused, Custom Maps operates fully offline and does not collect or send personal data. It uses the Google Maps API anonymously for map alignment without transmitting user information. Recent reviews

Stänga av tillstånd för plats ger krascher (ville stänga av att byter till karta för nuvarande pos). GPS-pilen är för stor så den döljer kartan vid finläsning (skulle behöva ändra storlek och även stänga av pilen helt). Enkelt att fotografera av en karta, passa in kartfotot mot google maps och få GPS-pil i realtid på kartfotot. Jag saknar att kunna få ett GPS-spår och kunna spara/ladda GPX filer, men jag kan använda andra appar för det. Version 1.7 fungerar bra (fanns en bug i 1.6 som fixades).
