Remotype: PC, Mac & TV Remote

Remotype turns your phone into a wireless keyboard, trackpad, presenter and remote for your computer — and for your TV.

Type on your phone and the words appear on your Mac, PC or Linux machine. Slide your finger and the pointer moves. Point at a slide from across the room, pause what is playing, or drive an Android TV with a proper number pad.

TWO WAYS TO CONNECT
• Bluetooth — your phone pairs as a real keyboard and mouse, with NOTHING installed on the computer. Works on locked-down work machines, smart TVs, consoles and a BIOS screen.
• Wi-Fi — install the free Remotype Host on your Mac, Windows PC or Linux machine and unlock screen mirroring, computer audio, clipboard sync and casting.

FREE FOREVER
• Full keyboard — swipe-type with your own keyboard, autocorrect and all
• Trackpad with gestures, scrolling, and both mouse buttons
• Keyboard and trackpad together on one screen
• Finding and connecting to your computer

TYPING THAT KEEPS UP
Swipe mode uses Gboard or whatever keyboard you already use, so your muscle memory, autocorrect and languages come with you. Tap mode gives a compact QWERTY with ctrl, alt, cmd and shift, arrows, esc, function keys and brackets. Quick-tap a modifier to arm it, or hold it for Cmd-Tab and Alt-Tab.

POINT, PRESENT, PERFORM
• Trackpad with two-finger scroll, tap-to-click, drag and right-click
• Air mouse — point by moving the phone
• Presenter mode — laser pointer, spotlight, freehand drawing, blank the room, countdown timers
• Media keys for play, pause, track and volume
• Numpad for spreadsheets
• Dictation — speak, and your computer types

TV REMOTE
Drive an Android TV or Google TV over Wi-Fi: D-pad and OK, a full number pad for jumping straight to a channel, back, home, power, mute and volume, plus a text field so you can type into search boxes with your phone instead of hunting letters on screen. Smart TVs and consoles work over Bluetooth with nothing installed.

SEE AND HEAR YOUR COMPUTER
Mirror your computer's screen to your phone and hear its sound, live. Scroll a document in bed, keep an eye on a render, or cast the screen to a TV.

POWER TOOLS
• Clipboard sync — move text and files between phone and computer
• Macros — one-tap tiles for shortcuts you run all day
• Secrets — type passwords securely, without them touching the clipboard
• Multiple computers — keep several connected and switch between them
• Connect by IP for Tailscale or networks that hide devices
• Choose your layout: Essentials, Presenter, or Everything

BUILT TO BE TRUSTED
An app that types on your computer should be able to prove what it does.
• Pair once with a code shown on the computer. After that, the computer refuses anything that is not your paired phone.
• Every message between phone and computer is encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
• The computer app makes NO internet connection at all, by design. It has no updater and no telemetry.
• Its complete source code is public and auditable: github.com/Custavia/remotype-host
• No account. No sign-up. No ads. No tracking.
• Your keystrokes travel from your phone to your computer on your own network, and nowhere else.

PRICING
Keyboard, trackpad and connecting are free forever. Everything else is free for 14 days, then 30 minutes a month — or unlock it permanently with a subscription or a one-time Eternal License. No ads either way.
