Culturix : Culture Générale

All the culture, one quiz at a time!

Culturix features 10,000 general knowledge questions in French, written and verified one by one. Six categories, two-minute rounds, and an explanation after each answer: you play, and you learn along the way.

FIVE WAYS TO PLAY

• Quick Game: 10 questions, all categories mixed. Two minutes, stopwatch in hand.

• Round of 6: the signature mode. 2 questions per category, back-to-back. Miss both questions in the same category and the round ends immediately. A perfect 12 out of 12? That's a perfect round, and they're counted.

• Daily Challenge: 20 questions, the same for everyone, only one attempt. Daily leaderboard and streak of consecutive days to maintain.

• Challenge a friend: you send a link, your friend answers your questions exactly, and the scores are compared. Your head-to-head records are saved. • Course: 500 questions per category to master, at your own pace, with no penalty if you stop along the way.

TWO PROGRESSIONS THAT NEVER MIX

Points and rank are earned in Quick Play, Round of 6, Daily Challenge, and Challenges with Friends. Ten ranks, from Novice to Genius. Rumor has it there's an eleventh, but no one will tell you what it is.

Medals, however, are earned ONLY in the Course: bronze for mastering 150 distinct questions, silver for 300, and gold for 500. A question only counts once, forever: replaying what you already know won't advance your medal. Collect all six gold medals and you'll earn the title of Polymath. No one will get it by chance.

QUESTIONS WE'VE ACTUALLY VERIFIED

History, Geography, Science & Nature, Arts & Literature, Sports & Leisure, Entertainment. 10,000 handwritten questions, proofread, sourced, and illustrated when the image is helpful. Three difficulty levels: an easy question is worth 2 points, a difficult one is worth 10. Here, you don't get a high score by reciting capital letters.

WHAT YOU WON'T FIND

• No lives, no energy, no countdown timer before playing again. You play as much as you want.

• Nothing ever comes between your question and its answer. A game never stops.

• No correct answers for sale. Points are earned, not bought.

A RANKING THAT MEANS SOMETHING

Randomly drawn questions, a single attempt at the Daily Challenge, a delay before a failed question can be returned, and a recorded withdrawal: the game is designed so that you can't inflate your score. A global ranking is only meaningful if the scores are honest.

A UNIQUE STYLE

Parchment paper, bold blocks of color, thick black outlines, speech bubbles. Culturix looks like a Franco-Belgian comic book, not a spreadsheet.

START WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT

You can play right away, as a guest, without creating anything. An account becomes useful when you want to save your progress, challenge your friends, enter the global ranking, and go after the title of Polymath.

So, Polymath or not?
