NoBars: Offline Survival Kit

NoBars teaches survival and disaster skills before you need them, and keeps the tools you would reach for in one app that works with no signal at all.

LEARN IT BEFORE YOU NEED IT
44 short illustrated lessons, each with narration, a quick quiz and the sources it was written from. Floods, earthquakes, wildfire smoke, hurricanes, tornadoes, winter storms, extreme heat, tsunamis, power cuts and generators. Finding your way, signalling for help, safe water, shelter, fire and staying warm or cool. Questions you miss come back later, so the lessons stick.

TOOLS THAT WORK WITH NO BARS
SOS by light, sound or screen. A Morse sender. A whistle and alarm. A compass with true north, your coordinates in four formats you can read to a rescuer, sunrise, sunset and how much daylight you have left. A battery saver mode, an emergency card and kit checklists with use-by dates. Every tool works offline from the first launch.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT DOES
The SOS tools signal people who can see or hear you. They do not contact emergency services; the Call button does that. NoBars is a training app, not a substitute for emergency services or official instructions.

FREE, AND YOUR CHOICE
Every tool, every disaster and power-cut lesson and the free training lessons are free forever, with no ads. There are no banners and no ads that pop up on their own: on a Pro lesson you can choose to watch one short video to open that lesson for 15 minutes. There is no account and no tracking.

NOBARS PRO: ONE PAYMENT, NO SUBSCRIPTION
No ads at all, plus the wilderness course (shelter, fire, food, finding water, navigation by sun and stars, reading the sky), the offline video pack, night vision mode, and your training record.

WHERE THE LESSONS COME FROM

Every step links to the page it came from. NoBars is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency.
