User Reviews

SecureSign by Credit Suisse offers heightened security over traditional methods, which some users appreciate. However, many reviews highlight frequent crashes, complicated and unreliable activation processes, and the need for multiple devices, causing significant frustration. The app often loses authentication tokens, forcing users to reinstall or re-activate repeatedly. Frequent errors and insufficient support contribute to a generally negative user experience, with some considering switching banks due to these issues.
Pros
  • Provides a more secure authentication method compared to SMS codes or mTAN.
  • Works well for some users with few or no issues.
  • Enhanced security measures to protect banking access.
Cons
  • App frequently crashes and becomes unusable, especially after updates or during QR code scanning.
  • Setup and activation process is complicated and often fails, requiring manual interventions or bank visits.
  • Requires multiple devices for activation or payments due to QR code scanning limitations.
  • App loses login tokens or authentication, forcing repeated re-installations and re-registrations.
  • Poor user experience with frequent errors, lack of clear instructions, and inadequate support.

Doesnt work half of the time and i need to troubleshoot for 10 minute with uninstalling everithing and reinstaling ect. Just to access my bank account on my phone. I miss the sms code. It used worked everytime. Edit: its a new year and again the 3rd time within not even 2 months that i have to uninstall and reinstall everything just to pay my bills. Im really starting to consider changing banks since theres bearly anything cs does to to keep their clients. Im very unhappy with cs overall

Setup on new device is not easy. UBS access at least asks if I want to get their activation letter and initiates the sending directly from the access app. In case of CS SecureSign, if "I don't have any of these items", it brings me back to the start screen and does not offer to send me the SecureSign activation letter. The only option is to go to web interface and order the letter manually.
