Crystal Galaxy is a brick breaker game
Crystal Galaxy is a brick breaker game for mobile in which the player controls a paddle at the bottom of the screen and bounces a ball to destroy a grid of bricks. Each brick has hit points; when a brick’s hit points reach zero it is removed immediately. The level is cleared when every brick is gone, and the player loses if the ball falls below the paddle. The ball moves with simple physics: it bounces off the walls, the paddle, and the bricks, with no animated transitions—only instant state updates for a direct, responsive feel.
The game is themed around a “Crystal Galaxy” look: a cosmic, crystal-inspired style that feels premium and modern rather than childish. The visuals use a palette of deep navy, midnight purple, crystal blue, and soft silver, with dark gradients and a static, polished look. Bricks show crystal and gem-style emojis (such as diamond, star, amethyst) and display their hit points; the paddle and ball are clean and minimal. There are no particle effects, glowing animations, or moving backgrounds—only a calm, high-quality, futuristic arcade aesthetic.
Crystal Galaxy includes 40 handcrafted levels with increasing difficulty: more rows of bricks, higher hit points, and different patterns including gaps and symmetrical layouts. Before playing, the user sees a full-screen level select grid where levels unlock in order; completed levels show a star rating and the current level is highlighted. After clearing a level, a victory screen appears at once with the level number, score, shots used, and a one- to three-star rating, plus “Next Level” and “Level Select” buttons. If the ball is lost, a failure screen offers “Retry” and “Level Select,” again with no animations or transitions.
The app also includes a welcome screen on first launch, a home screen with Play, Level Select, Achievements, and Settings, and an achievements system with over a dozen goals (e.g. first brick, completing 5 or 20 levels, three-star wins, score milestones). Settings allow toggling sound and choosing a theme accent (Sapphire, Amethyst, or Gold).
All progress—onboarding, unlocked levels, stars, scores, achievements, and settings—is saved locally so the game can be picked up again at any time. The game is built in Flutter with null safety and a clear separation between game logic and UI. It is designed to be production-ready: no placeholder content, no animations beyond instant state changes, and a single language (English). The result is a focused, elegant brick breaker that feels like a premium arcade game set in a crystal galaxy universe.
