In Volcanic Yolk, the player interacts with a simple yet strategic system. At the bottom of the screen, three random elements are always available. The player selects one element, sees it highlighted, and places it on any suitable cell of the grid. Once placed, the element becomes part of the board, forming evolving patterns that must be managed carefully.

When any full row or column becomes completely filled, it disappears from the grid. Each cleared line grants 10 points. After the player uses all three available elements, a new set of three appears, continuing the cycle of decision-making and spatial planning. The challenge grows naturally as the board becomes more populated, requiring forward thinking and precise positioning.
