PixelLogic

Every puzzle in PixelLogic has exactly one solution, and every one of them can be finished by reasoning alone. If you are stuck, there is always something you have not spotted yet — you will never be asked to guess and hope.

That sounds like a small promise. It is the hardest one in the genre to keep.

WHY IT MATTERS

Most nonograms are made by drawing a picture and counting the runs of filled cells to get the numbers. Clues made that way often describe several different pictures, or describe one picture that no amount of reasoning can pin down — you can only reach it by guessing and backtracking. Either way you end up staring at a board that cannot honestly be solved, and blaming yourself.

PixelLogic generates candidate puzzles and throws away every single one its own solver cannot finish by pure deduction. Whatever survives is guaranteed solvable, and guaranteed to have one answer. Nothing else is shipped to you.

HOW IT PLAYS

The numbers beside each row and column give the lengths of the runs of filled cells, in order, with at least one blank between runs. Work out which cells must be filled, and a picture appears.

TUNE IT TO YOU

Mistake checking tells you the moment you fill a cell that should be blank — or switch it off entirely and let the board stay wrong for as long as you like. Finished clues dim themselves as you go, unless you would rather they did not. Clue text scales to your eyes. Vibration and sound are yours to set.

COMPLETELY OFFLINE

PixelLogic has no internet permission at all. It cannot send anything anywhere, because it has no way to. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. Your progress, times and pictures stay on your device and are deleted with the app.
