ScanCraft: Handwriting to pdf

ScanCraft turns your phone into a document scanner. Point it at a page and it finds the edges, straightens the photo and cleans it up, ready to share as a PDF.

Then it goes a step further. Ultra scan reads a scanned page and rebuilds it as real text, laid out as it was on paper, so you can fix a typo, change the wording or copy a paragraph out long after the photo was taken.

SCANNING
• Automatic edge detection and perspective correction
• Adjust the corners by hand, with a magnifier for the fiddly bits
• Filters: Auto, Colour, Grey, Ink, or the untouched photo
• Brightness, contrast and rotation
• Many pages in one document: reorder, retake, re-crop or remove any of them

EDITING
• Add text in 52 font families, covering Latin, Devanagari and many other scripts
• Sign with your finger and place the signature where you want it
• Highlight, redact, and draw rectangles, circles and lines
• Insert pictures, add blank pages, number the pages
• Set the document name, paper size, margins and quality
• Export to PDF and share it anywhere

ULTRA SCAN: pages become text
• Text on the page comes back as text you can select, edit and restyle
• The layout is kept: headings, paragraphs, columns and tables
• Photos, logos and signatures on the page stay as pictures
• The original photo is kept underneath, so anything doubtful can be checked against it
• Share everything read from a document as plain text
• The PDF weighs kilobytes instead of megabytes

Ultra scan is paid for by the page: every install gets 3 free pages, and after that 100 pages cost ₹200. One credit reads one page, and credits never expire.

PRIVACY
Your scans stay on your phone. There is no account to create, and ordinary scanning works with no internet connection at all. Only when you choose Ultra scan is a page sent away to be read, and neither the picture nor its text is kept on our server.
